I also want to find my niche of people in my industry so we can bounce ideas off of each other.

Fostering community helps financial professionals support each other

Fred Rogers once said, “Often problems are knots with many strands and looking at those strands can make a problem seem different.” Helping financial advisors and institution professionals understand challenges differently is the inspiration for creating advisor communities at LPL Financial.

“The people we support are more than financial professionals,” says Regina Heyward, senior vice president, Client Communities & Sustainability. “They have full lives with unique interests and experiences, and often those experiences inform the personalized strategies they create for the people and families they serve. We want to celebrate those perspectives and bring together these like-minded financial professionals to inspire each other and support growth.”

In this video, LPL financial professionals share why community is important to them.

Apryl Pope:

One of the main reasons we came to LPL, or I did specifically, was I feel like, you can't outgrow it. Like you can do anything at any level. And so, but when you do get here, when there's thousands and thousands and thousands of advisors and even thousands of home office staff, having the smaller communities makes it feel a little bit more personable.

Justine Ochoa:

And I also want to find my niche of people in my industry as well, so we can bounce ideas off of each other and have a more friendly community.

Rachel Bubb:

I actually joined this one organization called Lightyear Leadership. And through this, I had my own personal development experience. And through that I've met some incredible people that are on this journey and working to do anything that it is to better improve their lives, their vision, and their goals.

And through that work, I've also been able to apply that to my business, which has been really helpful because I'm able to have conversations with my clients around what they really care about and the vision that they see for themselves and their money. And it makes it a stronger conversation and ultimately creates a plan that they're willing to stick to.

Justine Ochoa:

Just representation. Representation really matters.
