We are committed to caring—for our financial professionals and for our communities. The caring power of our financial professionals and employees can be seen every day.
LPL’s Volunteer Programs
Our employees and financial professionals are dedicated to strengthening the communities where we live and work.
LPL Foundation Volunteer Employee Resource Group
To bring the mission of the LPL Foundation to life, members champion, coordinate, and promote volunteer events, and recruit employees to:
- Teach financial literacy
- Conduct practice interviews
- Host career exploration seminars
Focus Volunteer Event
During Focus—LPL’s premier sales and education conference—we partner with local non-profit organizations to host events for financial professionals, employees, LPL Financial Foundation board members, and guests. Recent events include mentoring underserved youth and teaching them financial literacy and leadership skills.
Annual Serve Days
Each year, our employees are called to take action through a month-long volunteer initiative. Hundreds of LPL employees support various organizations and participate in activities ranging from financial education seminars to community clean-up events to hunger-relief efforts.

Empowering Community Service
Our employees and financial professionals actively work to better our local communities through volunteering and financial support.
LPL Financial Foundation Partnerships
To help strengthen our home office communities, we collaborate with the following organizations where we mentor youth and provide career skills training:
- Big Brothers / Big Sisters
- Communities in Schools
- Junior Achievement
- Johnson C. Smith University
- Cal State San Marcos
The Foundation also partners with and donates to mission-aligned non-profit organizations, and offers renewable scholarships to college-bound children of LPL employees and financial professionals.
The LPL Employee Volunteer Center
This online tool connects employees with volunteer events in their communities, and offers them the opportunity to create and share volunteer activities with organizations that are meaningful to them.
Volunteer Time Off (VTO)
Employees are encouraged to take up to 16 hours of paid VTO each year to get involved in their communities. They can participate in the activities of their choice, whether for LPL-organized events or independent volunteer efforts.
Matching Gifts Program
To amplify the impact of our employees’ and financial professionals’ charitable donations, we match their contributions of up to $500 to eligible non-profit organizations (with a two-contribution annual maximum).
