As part of LPL Financial’s initiative to make it easier for advisors to do business with the firm, more than 60 LPL employees, advisors and their support staff gathered to answer the question, “How does LPL create a world-class service experience that will make these advisors advocates for LPL?”

Led by an outside firm, called Syntegrity, the three sessions over seven days were fast-paced, collaborative and focused on how to redefine and optimize the advisor service model. The sessions helped LPL identify key areas to address in order to enhance the service experience for clients.

“The process we went through was dynamic and quick-moving,” said LPL Advisor Andy Karlinski, with AK Financial Group based in Irvine, Calif. “They took broad-based ideas and concepts to develop specific recommendations. It was such a wonderful experience, and I genuinely appreciate the focus, sincerity and commitment on LPL’s part to solve for the serious issue of improving service.”

Advisor Cal Elam of EFinancial Advisors based in Columbia, S.C., said he appreciated the opportunity to represent advisors during the Syntegrity sessions. “This is one of the key reasons LPL will continue to be on the leading edge of helping advisors deepen and broaden relationship they have with their clients.”

Representatives from teams across LPL participated in the sessions, all with a common goal to make a real difference in advisors’ businesses.

“We saw the firm acknowledge that we all, regardless of our roles, need to provide advisors with exceptional service and keep their needs on the forefront of everything we do. We saw our teams listen and learn as our clients explained how they used our services and what they expected from us as a valued partner,” said LPL Managing Director Andy Kalbaugh, who sat in on all three sessions. “Maybe the most impressive part was to watch LPL come together as one team, singularly focused to make this a firm that can and will deliver an exceptional service experience.  It was an honor to watch everyone lock arms and run right at this very significant challenge.”
