Thomas Shipp

Head of Equity Research

Tom leads the Equity Research team at LPL Financial, which provides actionable insights driven from quantitative and fundamental equity research. Tom focuses on factor-based quantitative analysis alongside traditional fundamental research in this role, developing and managing LPL Research’s Equity Focus Lists. Tom is a member of the Strategic Asset and Allocation Committee (STAAC), which provides a united investment view across a comprehensive range of investing disciplines.

Before Tom joined the Research team, he served as Vice President in LPL’s Enterprise Data & Analytics organization.

Prior to joining LPL Financial

Tom worked as an equity research analyst at BMO Capital Markets in New York, where he worked on a team covering the U.S. Oilfield Services industry. Earlier in his career, Tom supported portfolio managers, research analysts, and traders in various roles at Jennison Associates and AllianceBernstein.
