Thomas Shipp

Head of Quantitative Research

Thomas leads the Quantitative Research team at LPL Financial, which provides actionable market insights and quantitative strategy across asset classes. Tom focuses primarily on factor-based quantitative equity investing and oversees the development of LPL Research’s Equity Focus Lists. Tom is a member of the Strategic Asset and Allocation Committee (STAAC), which provides a united investment view across a comprehensive range of investing disciplines.

Before Tom became part of the Research team, he served as Vice President in LPL’s Enterprise Data & Analytics organization.

Prior to joining LPL Financial

Tom worked as an equity research analyst at BMO Capital Markets in New York, where he worked on a team covering the U.S. Oilfield Services industry. Earlier in his career, Tom supported portfolio managers, research analysts, and traders in various roles at Jennison Associates and AllianceBernstein.
