As Vice President and Senior Investment Analyst, Carter is responsible for leading fixed income manager due diligence and performs research on third party taxable fixed income strategies. In this role, he provides LPL Financial advisors and their clients with high conviction active and passive strategies across various vehicle types such as mutual funds, exchange traded funds (ETFs), and separately managed accounts (SMAs). Carter is also a voting member of the LPL Research Investment Manager Committee, Tactical Model Portfolio Committee (MPC), and Fixed Income MPC. In addition, he is a key contributor to the overall strategy of the LPL Research Fixed Income model portfolios.

Prior to joining LPL Financial

Prior to joining LPL Financial, Carter performed financial analysis with Citi Hedge Fund Services, United Bank, and Wells Fargo. Carter has more than 15 years of investment experience.
