LPL Financial Releases New Clientworks Reporting Tools

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Feb. 7, 2019 – LPL Financial LLC, a leading retail investment advisory firm and independent broker-dealer, today announced the launch of Client Goals, a new goals-based tool within ClientWorks that enables advisors to quickly and easily create personalized reports for their clients and prospects. Available at no extra cost as part of the core functionality within ClientWorks, all LPL advisors now have access to this new integrated capability, designed to help advisors drive meaningful conversations and actions centered around the financial goals that matter most to their clients.

“We believe the best technologies are those that help deepen human connection,” said Burt White, managing director, Investor and Investment Solutions. “With Client Goals, advisors are able to serve their clients more meaningfully with tailored actions that work toward a personal goal. This capability, on the heels of the new proposal generation tool launched last week, form the first integral pieces of the advisor solution set that will help advisors develop stronger client relationships, increase efficiency and drive their business forward.”

Client Goals offers the technology to assess financial goals by examining the probability of success and the funding percentage. Advisors can create customizable goal scenarios to be able to test outcomes and iterate alongside their clients. The capability will be integrated with LPL’s investor portal, AccountView, to provide a clean, easy-to-read report for clients to track their own success relative to their goals.

The solution utilizes technology from Fiserv, a global leader in financial service technology solutions, upon which LPL built a customized offering to uniquely serve its advisors. "LPL is differentiating themselves in our industry with their innovative solutions to provide a fully integrated technology platform," says Cheryl Nash, president, Investment Services, Fiserv.

“Innovating through integration is a key component of our technology development,” White said. “In this case, we’ve taken a great solution and built on it. We are able to add value though enhancing the workflows, application and connectivity to meet the needs of our advisors and enrich the experience for their clients.”

Client Goals is the latest tool to be released as part of ClientWorks Connected, a fully integrated platform where advisors have everything they need to serve their clients. In late January, LPL advisors gained access to a new proposal generation tool, powered by AdvisoryWorld, and new capabilities will to continue to roll out throughout the year. Client Goals, like other enhancements to the core offering within ClientWorks, will continue to evolve and integrate into the system and with other tools.
