SAN DIEGO – Nov. 13, 2025LPL Financial LLC, a leading wealth management firm, announces the recipients of the 2025 Outside Counsel Community Impact Awards, a program that honors law firms and individuals who actively engage with local communities and provide meaningful assistance to underserved individuals. These awards recognize excellence in fostering a culture of service, consistent pro bono engagement, and support for civic and philanthropic organizations.

Willkie Farr & Gallagher LLP has been awarded the 2025 Outside Counsel Community Impact Award for its exceptional and sustained commitment to advancing opportunity and equal access to justice. Willkie’s culture of service is deeply embedded across its U.S. offices, where hundreds of attorneys dedicate substantial time to pro bono work on a wide range of legal issues. In 2024 alone, over 575 Willkie attorneys billed 20+ hours on 735 pro bono matters. The firm’s community foundations — funded by personal contributions from partners and matched by the firm — support initiatives like Horton’s Kids in Washington, D.C., Urban Alchemy in San Francisco and Vista Del Mar Child & Family Services
in Los Angeles. Willkie also partners with clients on legal clinics and supports externships with organizations such as the Washington Lawyers Committee
NAACP Legal Defense Fund and Her Justice. These efforts reflect a long-standing dedication to empowering underserved communities and strengthening the legal profession.

Frank E. Schall, member of the White Collar, Regulatory Defense & Investigation practice at Moore & Van Allen PLLC, received the 2025 Outside Counsel Community Champion Award for his exceptional ability to integrate community engagement into his professional life while maintaining an outstanding legal practice. Schall’s leadership in promoting staff participation in volunteer programs and advancing civic causes exemplifies the award’s criteria. He serves on multiple nonprofit boards, including Charlotte, N.C.’s First Presbyterian Church Schools and the Charlotte Metro Human Trafficking Task Force, where he helped transform the task force into a 501(c)(3) organization. His pro bono work spans estate planning, domestic violence protection and wrongful eviction defense, earning him repeated recognition from the North Carolina Pro Bono Honor Society and the Sally & Bill Van Allen Public Service Award.

At an awards dinner held last night in Fort Mill, S.C., Willkie Farr & Gallagher and Schall were honored for their meaningful contributions to advancing justice, promoting equity and empowering communities.
