Having corporate partners like LPL that can help bridge the gap is critical to the success of our non-profit organization.
The donation enables the local nonprofit to continue its mission to connect people to nature and foster environmental conservation, and its proximity to the campus provides LPL employees with more options for recreation and natural space.
The Greenway is adjacent to LPL’s new Carolinas campus, and offers 40 miles of trails for hiking, bicycling, horseback riding and running. “We’re looking to be an extension of the LPL campus,” said Denise Cubbedge, Director of Development at the greenway. “We want employees to feel just as at home at the Greenway as they do in their new office space.”
The Greenway also offers employee volunteer opportunities and a unique site for team building events. In August, the Greenway hosted an event for LPL employees at the amphitheater, introducing employees to the site and more of what is has to offer them.
“I can’t overemphasize how much we appreciate the financial support LPL has given us. It takes a lot to be able to care for 2,100 acres, 231,000 visitors, 4,500 summer campers, 16,000 school visitors and 120 horses. Having corporate partners like LPL that can help bridge the gap is critical to the success of our non-profit organization,” said Cubbedge.
