What is your vision for the future of technology at LPL?
Scott: Our job, and our privilege, is to deliver capabilities to advisors that help their businesses thrive. Advisors are the purpose of our work and we appreciate every day the opportunity to earn their business. Our desire is to deliver solutions that enable them to help investors reach their fullest potential over their lives. Technology platforms are always evolving, and we are committed to continuous improvement.

What does innovation mean to you?
Scott: Finding how to serve a purpose in such a way that’s either so different or so simple, it feels obvious.

What do you enjoy most about working with advisors?
Scott: As I get to know advisors better, what I love is that they are equally as passionate as I am about giving back. So many of them go above and beyond what they do in their practices, and they’ve found ways to improve not just the communities they represent, but our whole world. I find them to be an inspiration and a great reminder of why I came to LPL. We’re all here to serve our clients, but we can also find a way to make the world a better place at the same time.
