Emily Field is Group Managing Director and Chief People Officer for LPL Financial. She is a member of LPL’s Management Committee. In this role, she is responsible for the firm’s people function and for delivering an exceptional experience for the firm’s employees. Ms. Field champions data-driven talent management as a key differentiator and elevates the role of HR as a strategic partner to the business to enable the Firm’s objectives.

Ms. Field joined LPL from McKinsey & Company, where she was a Partner in the People and Organizational Performance Practice. During her time at McKinsey, she led enterprise-scale organizational transformations for large companies and global institutions. Her work focused on operating model redesign, workforce strategy, HR modernization and leadership development. Prior to McKinsey, Ms. Field held various roles in Accenture’s Talent and Organization practice where she led change management programs, global research initiatives, and developed culture transformation and M&A integration strategies.

Ms. Field co-authored Power to the Middle: Why Managers Hold the Keys to the Future of Work (Harvard Business Review Press) and is thought leader on management topics, regularly contributing to McKinsey’s “Women in the Workplace” report and other leading publications and podcasts on workforce transformation, leadership, and the future of work.

Ms. Field earned a Bachelor of Arts in Government from Georgetown University. She is a guest lecturer at NYU’s Stern School of Business and mentors first-generation college students and transitioning military service members through her work with Spark the Journey and American Corporate Partners.
