Today’s financial institutions know that positioning themselves at the forefront of innovation is the only way to avoid falling behind. “Technology is critical and if we don’t stay on top of it and get our arms around it, we’re going to be left in the dust,” says Paul Restante, President and CEO of One Group Wealth Investment Services.

The right technology is a competitive advantage, empowering efficiency, scale and client satisfaction. “Tools that we can bring into our office that make us more efficient at what we do will help us really serve the client better,” says Jerry Toney, Executive Vice President of Investment Services at Cadence Bank. “Access to advanced technology is imperative to what we do. It’s critical in every aspect of what we do with financial planning and the need for that is only going to grow.

Keeping pace with innovation that’s happening at breakneck speed can be challenging, but banks and credit unions don’t have to go it alone; Toney and other financial services leaders are working with LPL Financial. LPL Financial invests over $360 million into our technology platform every year, so that when institutions partner with LPL, they can leverage our state-of-the-art tech stack. LPL Financial also provides guidance on getting the most out of the different tools and solutions featured on our platform.

"Technology and support is everything … I can’t say enough about WealthVision and eMoney and what they’ve done for our planning."

Deborah Boiselle

Vice President, Investments at Citizens National Bank

Boiselle says Citizens National is seeing great results with WealthVision, a financial planning and asset monitoring tool, powered by eMoney, available on LPL’s wealth management platform. “It has been a wonderful program for us,” she says.

Lori Mitchell, Financial Services Director at Golden 1 Credit Union, says that transitioning over to WealthVision has had the most impact in delivering real-time personalized solutions. Integrating into the platform has been key in providing members personalized advice on demand. Rather than having to wait for advice and then research it, she says, members “actually have it right there at their fingertips.”

WealthVision is a comprehensive, web-based wealth and goal planning tool that provides a shared platform between advisors and their clients. Because WealthVision can aggregate all of a client’s assets, it enables more confident financial decision making, with both advisors and clients able to access a complete overview of their finances. It can also recognize and create alerts for suspicious activity, as well as provide a place to digital store sensitive information, all in one place.

Leveraging Technology to Enhance Advisor and Client Experience

LPL invests over $360M annually to its technology platform, helping institutions stay at the forefront of innovation.

Debbie Boisselle: Technology and support is everything to us. When I started doing financial planning, we did it on spreadsheets and took days to gather documents and had these big binders where today, I can put it on the Internet and they can go and look at it and tell me yes, or no, interact with me via simple email back on that program and tell me, you know, I like this, but maybe we ought to tweak it here. It's been a godsend.

Jerry Toney: I think AI has a tremendous amount of potential as we look forward. It will not replace the advisor itself, but the more tools that we can bring into our office to help make us much more efficient at what we do will help us really serve the client better.

Debbie Boisselle: We use Wealthvision at LPL. It has been a wonderful program for us. I can't say enough about Wealth Vision and Emoney and what they've done for our planning.

Jerry Toney “I think it's full adoption of technology, within LPL itself. LPL has got a tremendous tech stack, but it's it's, fully adopting all of that.

Steve Hever: I consider LPL, to be my partner, obviously, in the business that we're doing. It's obviously the platform that we provide our broker dealer platform, that helps us deliver better products for clients.
