LPL Financial Employee Volunteers Teach Career Skills to San Diego Students

Francisco Campos, an LPL senior relationship manager in Business Consulting, graduated from Hoover High School in 2004. “I am glad that I had the chance to take part in such an impactful volunteer opportunity and could share such a strong connection to the students and their experiences. They were such grateful and engaged students. Thinking back to when I was in their place, it certainly made me proud of my own accomplishments. And being there on behalf of LPL and with fellow employees made it that much more rewarding.”

Sallie Larsen, LPL chief human capital officer, who hosted the symposium, said, “The LPL culture is one that values these types of connections and the meaningful impact that is made for both employees and the community. Our employees get the chance to give back in the communities where we work and live and the students get an enriching experience that creates greater opportunities for them as they pursue their goals. For me personally, it was such an honor to take part in this event.”

The LPL Financial Foundation serves as an enabling partner to organizations that help individuals achieve their aspirations in life. In addition to the San Diego event, the foundation also supported two Junior Achievement symposiums in Charlotte earlier this year.
