Women-Led Platinum Wealth Management Joins LPL Financial

Sixteen years after merging their successful practices to create their Atlanta-based firm, Platinum Wealth Management, Gena Barbato and Beth Woodward are choosing independence. They view the move as a step toward building their vision of success. By partnering with LPL Financial, Barbato and Woodward join an increasing demographic of women advisors looking to grow their business their way through the opportunities LPL’s independent model offers.

Leaving the wirehouse model

The decision to leave their former roles within UBS Financial Services and partner with LPL was both a professional and personal one for Barbato and Woodward. Through this partnership, and a dual partnership with Gladstone Wealth Partners, the Premium Wealth Management team is eager to realize new growth.

LPL offers flexibility and customization

Throughout their careers, both women have seen the desire for a more personal and customized approach to financial guidance. Now, with the flexibility to offer more services and the freedom to operate their practice on their terms, they’re excited to offer that approach to their clients.

Barbato cites the ability to focus on brand and digital marketing--due to fewer restrictions—as a major factor in their decision. She also spoke in regards to Gladstone Wealth Partner’s support, mentioning that their partnership model provided “a unique opportunity to grow the way [they] want to.”

Gladstone’s CEO Richard Frick had this to say: “To have these women launch our first partner office in the Buckhead area is nothing short of amazing. Gladstone and Platinum put a stake in the ground together, and we are here to support their growth.” And, LPL’s own, Scott Posner, spoke on behalf of LPL Financial in his echoing statement:

“…We congratulate Gena and Beth for launching their independent practice. They have built successful careers as financial advisors and we are honored they recognized the value in partnering with LPL and Gladstone as they seek ways to expand their business.”

Supporting women advisors

Supporting, recognizing, and helping women advisors grow their practices their way, continues to be a major aim of LPL Financial’s commitment to diversity and inclusion. As both Barbato and Woodward enter this new partnership with LPL Financial, they are enthusiastically welcomed into LPL’s women advisor business community, an expansive network of resources and support for continued growth, connection, and opportunities.

LPL Financial is working to ensure success stories like Platinum Wealth Management’s become commonplace in the financial industry. With LPL Financial, women advisors will find the technology and community support needed to help them manage a thriving practice.
