From a stimulus package to COVID-19, the economy, and the stock market, there are many drivers to this election. We break them all down.

The latest

President Donald Trump announced the next fiscal stimulus bill has stalled and Republicans would instead focus on the next Supreme Court justice. There still could be some type of a skinny stimulus bill, but with time dwindling, the chances are much lower of a deal at this point. Also, technology has been one of the best groups, but fears are increasing that a Democratic sweep could provide the ammunition to break up the large tech companies. Although this is a worry, we still would focus on the fundamentals and continue to support tech going forward.

What about who wins?

We discuss all the potential market winners and losers under each candidate, while focusing on policy as well. Regulation, deregulation, lower taxes, and higher taxes, there are many potential scenarios out there. One thing we stress though is don’t let politics cloud your investments. If the economy is strong, stock prices are likely to be strong as well.
