SAN DIEGO, Feb. 18, 2016 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Leading retail investment advisory firm and independent broker/dealer LPL Financial LLC, a wholly owned subsidiary of LPL Financial Holdings Inc. (NASDAQ:LPLA), today released its monthly activity report for January 2016.

Total brokerage and advisory assets served at the end of January were $459 billion, a 3.5 percent decrease from December 2015.  Total client cash sweep balances at the end of January were $31 billion, a 6.9 percent increase compared to December 2015.
