Women Advisor Business Community

Cultivating inclusive communities.

Are you used to being the only woman in the room at your current financial firm? You’re not alone. In recent years, we’ve heard from many women advisors who felt underwhelmed by their broker-dealer’s commitment to diversity and inclusion, and we believe now’s the time to move the needle.

At LPL Financial, we’re committed to breaking through barriers to growth and cultivating inclusive communities for underrepresented financial advisors. Currently, 17% of advisors affiliated with LPL are women and 52% of our 21-member Advisor Inclusion Council are women advisors. But we’re not stopping there.

We created the Women Financial Advisors Business Community to ensure women’s voices are heard and to provide a dedicated space to connect with peers, share ideas, and grow their practices. It’s just one of the many resources available to you at LPL. We have everything you need to thrive: the freedom to run your business your way, the financial technology and resources to help your clients confidently pursue their financial goals, and a supportive community by your side.

Since 2007, the LPL community of women financial advisors has grown from small-scale luncheons to a 3,000+ community of women financial advisors wanting to connect, share, and grow.

Experience the LPL difference. There’s room for you here.

Anh Tran, an Advisor Cultivating an Entrepreneurial Spirit

Becoming an entrepreneur was something Anh Tran was born with, but she still explored several career avenues before starting SageMint Wealth, where she currently serves as managing partner and financial advisor in Orange, California. Her motto: Live well, do good.

“Doing good is a key element in our financial planning because all our planning starts with our clients’ goals,”

"I honestly never thought I would be a Wealth Advisor. However, it is truly the most rewarding career. I choose to continue my career and launch my own independent firm. I knew I wanted to partner with an organization aligned with my values and was willing to help me forge ahead with my dreams. Since day one, the team at LPL from the back office to the leadership have been immensely supportive of my business and helping me grow!"

Wealth Management Advisor, LPL Financial

"Starting out in the financial services industry as an independent financial advisor was a lifestyle and career decision for me as a mother of three. Over the past 18 years, I have worked with three broker/dealers and wish I had chosen LPL sooner. Being at LPL since 2017, I have had better tools, technology, and support to service my clients and grow my business. LPL is always innovating to better meet the needs of the independent advisor. LPL consultants continually reach out and ask about how they can support my business. They listen to the challenges different advisor affinity groups have and rise to meet our needs."

"I’m proud to say that LPL has given me a solid foundation to build my success as an independent female financial advisor. I chose LPL because of its recognition as the nation’s largest independent brokerage firm, but I stayed at LPL because of the people and support. When you become independent, you don’t know what you don’t know. LPL helped me figure it out and triple in size, production and the number of clients I am helping. They say it takes a village, and I can say that LPL has been that village for me."
